Metal Clad Doors
Metal-Clad Doors provide the ultimate in Door Security, Durability and Weather-Proofing.
Our metal clad doors have been designed for use as commercial and residential access points, where additional security or protection from the elements is required. They have been used in warehouses, factories, car parks, apartments, shopping centers, sub stations and plant rooms.
Our standard metal facing is 0.55mm Zinc (Thicknesses of up to 1.5mm are available), however there are other options such as:
- Colorbond® / UniCote®
- Colorbond® Ultra / UniCote® Coastal
- Stainless Steel – Brush Finish or Rimex Patterns
- Aluminium
Solwest has two metal clad variants to suit your space. The MC1, with its EPS core, offers a lightweight, insulated option, while the MC2 solid core door promises unparalleled durability in high-traffic environments. Zinc Cladding gives our doors exceptional security and weatherproofing properties. For added durability, Solwest doors also have edge capping installed as standard, making them incredibly tough.
We are able to manufacture Colorbond®-clad Timber Doors.
Colorbond®-clad Doors have very similar properties to Zinc, but can be colour-finished in any of the standard Colorbond® colours.
Combined with External rated Plywood Skins, metal-clad doors achieve exceptional weatherproofing properties, making them the perfect choice for commercial storeroom and warehouse doors where the door is regularly impacted.
